Green School Honoured with Mention in Commonwealth 75th Anniversary Book

Only Taranaki’s Green School is listed in a book commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth. Commemorating the organization’s founding in 1949, The Commonwealth at 75 presents instances of creativity, leadership, and progress throughout its 56 member countries.
Michael Perrett and Rachel, the co-founders of Green School attended the book’s premiere at Westminister Abbey, London.

According to Michael Perrett, the school, which has roughly 100 kids, considers its inclusion in the journal a significant honor.

The Commonwealth Anniversary book covered the school’s contributions to education and sustainability within a two-page spread, apart from highlighting Green School’s unique pod-style classrooms. Mr Michael Perrett was delighted to know about Green School’s inclusion in the prestigious Commonwealth book and were asked to join in an online interview by Mr Robert Jobson, the official royal journalist and biographer of King Charles.

He specified that the forward-thinking and innovative approach has been the key reasons for its recognition. He added that this inclusion honour was noticed by thousands of students and teaching professionals who were established more than a century ago.

Michael revealed that their curriculum and faculty are looked up on a high note by numerous educationalists aspiring of teaching from their viewpoints. The approach and the pedagogy of their schools has been exactly the points of discussion in the educational field as the students are learning the best in easier, natural modes and through play.

He mentioned high outcomes of widened visibility resulting from the inclusion in the book.

Rachel Perrett expressed her delight about interacting and celebrating with different people and other global organizations.
